Celebrities like Lisa Haydon, Mandira Bedi, Ambika Anand, designers Masaba Gupta, Nishka Lulla, Surily Goel, socialites Queenie Dhody, Bhavna Pandey, Gauri Khan, Ramona Narang and several others have been seen sporting splashes of orange, fuchsia, burgundy, aquamarine, lilac and similar shades in their makeup.
The hints of colour work great when worn with monochrome outfits, or when matched and coordinated with similar coloured accessories.
But for these colours to look perfect and blend well with the complexion, one should remember to use the perfect makeup base - either mineral makeup or a light mousse - that will hold the colour well and also even out the complexion.
