Look Like A Celebrity - Secret Tips

Posted in

Celebrity make up is an art of creating a dream like beauty for the silver screen. The secret keys to a successful celebrity make up lies on the contour & symmetrical make up techniques determined by facial features, form, structure and color application applied to enhance the photogenic appearance on screen.

As a professional Film & Television make up artist I always begin by selecting and applying the correct foundation and translucent powder to suit the talent's skin tone. For a more natural glowing skin I use a bronzer. But applying bronzer can  be tricky , powder bronzer will  stick smoother to a skin that has a slight base, if you want to go sans foundation, wait for your moisturizer to dry, then very lightly dust a sheer translucent powder over entire face using an oversized powder brush. Follow with powder bronzer, using a bronzer brush over entire face .

Eyes: identifying the types, shapes, size and color is important

Begin with the correct eye liner and color shades .Here are few easy tips for you to understand and follow

  • For tanned skin tones use frosted pearly eye shadow by applying it on your upper eye lid followed by eyeliner,
  • For lighter skin tones use a natural shimmer eye shadow followed by an eye liner,
  • To further enhance eye make ups ,mascara on the lashes is an absolute must to give it a stunning captivating look .

Lips:  picking the right lip stick color  is very important

  • Shimmering or natural color lip gloss to suit the eye shadow compliments with the overall fashion theme.
  • Lips which are thin should avoid dark colors instead apply a lighter color shade to give it a full lip appearance.
  • Avoid using too much of gloss on your lip it can make your lipstick color bleed.
